ABOUT ME

I teach 4th-8th grade Technology Education classes at P.S. #115. Prior to this school, I taught at Pinnacle Charter School and Niagara Wheatfield's Edward Town Middle School. I have taught classes ranging from K-8 Information Technology to 5-8 Technology Education.

MY TEACHING

I expect the best from my students each time they walk into my room. Students are expected to achieve at high levels in both academics and behavior and I have several systems in place to ensure that this is the case. Students can expect the same routine each time they are in Technology class which creates an atmosphere of stability and reliability. I also believe that students should have engaging and authentic hands-on and real world experiences in my class and I work very hard to create lessons and units that convey this belief. Students have the ability to build websites, create CO2 dragsters, research careers, build model bridges, and explore alternative energies among many other exciting units of study.  It is always my goal that students feel that what they are learning is worth while yet challenging at the same time. Each unit of study also includes lessons in mathematics, ELA, social studies, science, and many other disciplines. I believe that incorporating other subjects into my curriculum makes for the most authentic learning experience possible.
