Welcome to my new website (under construction)! 

Since I'm not quite as computer friendly as some of my colleagues, I promise to at least try to be informative.  This site is being designed to keep you informed regarding what is going on with me and your children here in Buffalo.  As a result of some changes, I am no longer at School 61 or at Grabiarz, I am now part of the District Screening Team, but that doesn't change the fact that I am an educator and advocate for children.  The District Screening Team is responsible for screening students who have never been assessed as part of the "Child Find" process.  This process provides the schools with information regarding students who may be in need of additional services through either Special Education or as part of the Gifted program. 

I am still here to assist parents/students/teachers and others in making informed decisions and assist in what I can for special education advocacy.  We are here to assist in that decision making process and facilitate the provision of services for students with special needs.  We want you to be comfortable in the knowledge that we are here for all of OUR KIDS and are trying to work within the system to insure they receive the Services we can obtain for them through the building and in the Buffalo School District (and beyond--if necessary).  I look forward to working WITH you in this journey.   

Remember, Life is a journey which is constantly under construction.  So is this process we call EDUCATION.   

This year, my journey has seen yet another change in direction.  As you might know I was CSE Chairperson at PS 61 and due to transfer difficulties I ended up as a Speech Therapist at Grabiarz.  With the consolidation of Grabiarz and West Hertel I found myself being moved to my current position with the District Screening Team.  Despite these changes, I am still providing services for the students in Buffalo and serving as an advocate for them.  If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.  As I work on this site I hope there will be many areas you will find great value in. My goal is to make the website not just a tool for me to connect with parents, but also a learning tool and resource for the students/teachers/staff.
